RESEARCH

Current Study

I am currently a Clinical Psychology (PsyD) doctoral candidate working on my dissertation study entitled, "Unmasking the Layers: A Narrative inquiry into the Intersection of Superwoman Schema, Trauma, and Identity Development in Black Women."

Focus

My research explores the psychological resilience and well-being of Black women, with a particular focus on trauma, stress, and identity. I examine the Superwoman Schema and its impact on mental health while integrating culturally relevant frameworks to better understand coping mechanisms and health disparities. Through this work, I aim to inform clinical interventions, enhance psychological assessment, and contribute to the empowerment of Black women in both academic and therapeutic spaces.

Qualitative

I primarily utilize qualitative research methods to amplify the voices of Black women, capturing the depth and complexity of their lived experiences. Through narrative inquiry, phenomenology, and thematic analysis, my work seeks to center personal stories and cultural context, ensuring that research not only reflects statistical trends but also the nuanced realities of those it aims to serve.
